2019 Grant

Intro:

The California Landscape Architectural Student Scholarship Fund (CLASS Fund) Selection Committee is pleased to announce that the 2019 CLASS Fund Grant Award goes to two Universities.

Grant #1: "Future Landscape Professionals of the Anthropocene" - The University of Florida

Abstract

A previous investigation into climate change attitudes among landscape architects showed the need for more knowledge about climate change and climate-wise design within the profession, raising concerns about the education of future professionals. This study seeks to identify and assess needs and methods for educating future landscape architects and horticulturists in higher education programs about climate change, climate-wise plant material, and design strategies.
